Our Facility

Our center was designed and built with the care and education of children in mind.  The classrooms are color coded and designed for children of a specific age.  All of the rooms have direct and secure exits to the outside.  The main entrance is also secured, requiring the use of a key card to enter.  In the center of the building is a gymnasium where children can play and engage in group learning activities.

Embracing the Outdoors

Outside are large fenced in play areas, with separate areas specifically  designed for infants, 1 and 2 year olds, and for children ages 3 – 5.  Sunny Day also has a community garden which the children help take care of. Fresh veggies are then used in meals prepared in Sunny Day’s onsite kitchen.

Board of Directors

Board of Directors

As a non-profit agency, Sunny Day is governed by a Board of Directors.  The purpose of the Board is to support Sunny Day’s Director, help develop the vision, and fulfil the purpose of Sunny Day.  The Board is comprised of parents whose children attend the center, members of the community who are interested in participating, as well as the Director of the Center.  The Board typically meets monthly; their meeting dates are posted monthly at the center.  Parents are encouraged to attend Board meetings to meet its members, ask questions, and to share ideas and concerns.

A Licensed Center

Sunny Day has been providing professional and quality care for children for over 40 years! We take pride in serving our community's children and families.

Sunny Day is licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (WDCF) as a child care facility.  We are licensed to provide year-round care for up to 194 children between the ages of 6 weeks through 12 years.

Entrusting the care of your child to another person is an important decision. Take time before you choose a child care program to make sure that it is legal and licensed.  The following are a couple of documents that may help you decide: Legal Child Care, and Regulated Child Care.

For more information on Wisconsin's licensing rules and guidelines, please visit the WDCF website.
